Nominate an international student for the Global Swede Award 2019

Now it is possible to nominate an international student to the 2019 Global Swede Award. The chosen candidate from SLU will participate in a ceremony arranged by the Swedish Institute (SI) and The Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Stockholm on 21 May.

The Global Swede Award is part of SI’s work to build long-lasting relations with international alumni from Swedish universities. SLU have a chance to nominate one of our outstanding international students to take part in the ceremony at The Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

We are looking for candidates about to finish their studies at SLU, who are citizen of a country outside EU/EES, and fulfils the following criteria:

  • Shown innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship within her/his academic area
  • Good ambassador for SLU and Sweden
  • A broad network and being active on social media
  • High social competence, motivation and commitment
  • Good academic results
  • Student on the last term

If you know a student that could fit the description, please send your suggestion to geir.loe@slu.se before 20 March.

The nomination need to contain name of the candidate, a high-resolution photo and a short motivation (500 charaters, in English).
