CGIAR research program on Livestock visited SLU

Published: 13 December 2019

On December 9 and 10, SLU hosted the program management committee of the CGIAR research program on Livestock.

The committee with members from several CGIAR centers (ILRI, CIAT and ICARDA) and the German federally owned development enterprise GIZ, met and discussed with SLU researchers active in the program – in the areas of animal health, genetics and nutrition. The chair of the committee, Dr. Tom Randolph, expressed the committee’s appreciation for the SLU engagement in the research program and for contributing with expertise. Antimicrobial resistance, herd health/reproduction management and capacity development were identified as areas where SLUs expertise is particularly appreciated.
