First PhD student to defend doctoral thesis in UR-Sweden program

Aimable Nsabimana is the very first PhD student of the current phase of the UR-Sweden programme to defend his doctoral thesis with the title “Essays on Household Demand and Agricultural Policy Implications in Developing Countries.”

Aimable used economic theories to analyse household welfare in Rwanda and Tanzania with focus on how the use of modern agricultural input influence farmers’ wellbeing in Rwanda.

H.E. ambassador Christine Nkulikiyinka attended the dissertation.


Co-supervisor Dr Ngabitsinze Jean Chrysostome from UR-Sweden, Aimable Nsabimana and ambassador Christine Nkulikiyinka.
