Biomaterials at a nanoscale at Ultuna

Published: 29 October 2018

Department of Molecular Sciences’ graduate school, Focus on Food and Biomaterials organized a PhD course “Biomaterials on nanoscale” (5 credits) at Ultuna campus from 19th to 26th of October 2018.

This course focused on diverse materials ranging from nanoparticles/nanogels to nanofibers, and their properties, practical applications and health effects. Participants also learned how to use new technique to study nanomaterials (Scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and nanoparticle tracking analysis). The lectures were given by internationally leading specialists in the area.

The course leader was Vadim Kessler, Professor of Inorganic Chemistry and Bionanotechnology.
