Funding worth millions to projects in sustainable food production and consumption

This autumn researchers at SLU were granted substantial funding from the Formas research council. In total, approximately SEK 50 million was awarded from the directed announcement "Sustainable food production and consumption 2016" to five projects, two of which are at the VH Faculty.

The two VH projects are:

‘Eating insects – a tasty solution to a global problem’ with Anna Jansson of the Department of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry as the main applicant
‘Brown algae as a feed supplement for chickens – for sustainable production and more secure consumption’ with Emma Ivarsson of the Department of Animal Nutrition and Management as the main applicant.
