Presentation
I am a microbiologist researching cyanobacterial blooms in the Baltic Sea. My PhD project focuses on cyanotoxins and their potential accumulation in blue mussels along the Swedish east coast. By combining a seasonal field study with mesocosm experiments in the lab, I aim to investigate the ecological factors influencing cyanotoxin production and their impact on the safety of seafood harvesting in the Baltic Sea, particularly in the context of future climate conditions.
Cooperation
In my PhD project I collaborate with mussel farmers from Ecopelag (www.ecopelag.se).
