How do you weave in the many concerns and needs of inter- and transdisciplinary research into a research project? And how do you contextualise your research to make sure it is relevant to different needs?Professor Erik Andersson, University of Helsinki and the Stockholm Resilience Center at Stockholm University, will talk about interdisciplinarity and how to practically tackle such projects.

In this lunch webinar, Professor Erik Andersson from University of Helsinki and Stockholm Resilience Center will talk about tiered, multi-layered project designs, from conceptualization to implementation and onwards to further theorizing; including tentative design principles and a long list of things to keep in mind when engaging with plural others. In doing so, he will also reflect on systems thinking practice and ways of building interdisciplinary science.

Erik Andersson’s presentation is grounded in his long and wide experience as a leader of several international interdisciplinary research projects in the field of natural resource management, including adaptation and biodiversity conservation in regional development, co-creation and dialogue for collective action, mixed methods development and urban sustainability.

This webbinar is part of a series of webinars open to anyone who wants to increase their knowledge and insights about interdisciplinary work.
