Lunch seminar: Insects as feed for fish – findings and future perspectives

Use of insects in fish feed has been approved by EU since a few years. At SLU’s Department for Animal Nutrition and Management, several research projects have evaluated black soldier fly larvae as an alternative to traditional ingredients in fish feed.

During this seminar researcher Aleksandar Vidakovic will tell us more about the outcome of these projects. His research interests are acceptance of black soldier fly larvae by fish and how the feed with impact growth and health as well as technical aspects of producing a feed on black soldier fly larvae.
