Environmental work at the LTV faculty

Last changed: 15 December 2025

At the LTV faculty there is an environmental group with an environmental coordinator and environmental representatives from the departments. If you have questions or want to get in touch with someone in LTV's environmental group, you can find contact information in the links below.

Since 2016, SLU has been environmentally certified according to ISO 14001. This means that all employees are responsible for staying informed about environmental issues, the content of the environmental handbook and the meaning of environmental aspects and environmental impact.

Audit of the environmental management system

In the fall of 2025, an internal audit of the environmental management system was carried out. The following areas were noted as particularly positive:

  • Generally high commitment to environmental issues within the faculty
  • An active environmental group
  • The faculty is well represented when it comes to applications for the climate fund
  • Relevant local environmental goals

In March 2026, it is time for an external audit and for LTV there will be a site visit to IMS in Skara. The next internal audit of the faculty is autumn 2026.

Climate Fund

Last autumn, the following projects affiliated with the LTV faculty were granted funding from the Climate Fund:

  • Electric quadricycle
  • Electric box bikes
  • Electric truck

A total of SEK 1,500,000 was distributed from the Climate Fund, of which SEK 340,000 went to LTV

The next application from the Climate Fund is in autumn 2026.

SLU's environmental goals

SLU has a number of environmental goals and one goal that is difficult to achieve is travel. To help achieve the goal, the environmental unit has developed a decision process. Feel free to use the decision process as support for travel: Decision process.pdf
