Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute:

VH's research and education are spot on for Sustainable Life, capitalize on it!
Elevate VH's interdisciplinary role, within SLU, and nationally/globally.
Facilitate for our dedicated employees (incl. students) to reach their full potential by providing a good work environment. Utilize research infrastructures wisely and balance costs between infrastructure and staff planning. Meet demands for continued education – all disciplines and animal species, and for preparedness.

Personal reflections:

With long experience as a researcher/teacher, and broad collaborations nationally and internationally, I see great potential for VH. We have the keys to many societal challenges, and unique conditions. The years as Vice Dean have provided good insights into SLU's internal matters. As a professor, I am highly perceptive to the employees' and organisation's need for knowledge, support and infrastructures. A functioning whole is important, and I wish to contribute to that
