Johan Bröjer has been nominated as a member/deputy by the election committee at VH.
Johan Bröjer, professor at the department of Clinical Sciences. At SLU since 1995.
It is important that the faculty works with economic stability and develops work at the animal hospital without negatively affecting the economy, the research or the teaching. I have been part of the clinical work at the faculty during a long time and experienced many different management strategies. That experience can be beneficial for the faculty board so that we can make long-term viable decisions when it comes to infrastructure questions.
The members of the staff are the faculty’s main resource. I want to work with strategies for career paths and development of teachers and researchers in order to strengthen the faculty for the future. Since I am responsible for the development of my staff, I am well aware of the faculty’s strengths and weaknesses within the area.
I believe that the committee should work on behalf of the whole faculty’s development in a “bottom-up” structure. I have always appreciated when the committee has had deeper discussions with the institutions and the head of the departments. This is something I would like to further develop in order to strengthen the democratic process at the university. I think the committee should give teachers and institutions the necessary prerequisites and support to develop their ideas and goals, which leads to high quality research and teaching.
