Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute

We must be the best at understanding the preconditions for, and the consequences of, using forests as a natural resource in different ways. Important issues for all of us are our education, research, environmental monitoring and assessment, and collaboration. We lead both basic and applied research. In the coming years, our focus on future sustainable forest silviculture and management, is central which engages the entire faculty. We lead, guide and inspire about forests.

Personal reflections

We are in the middle of the debate and we make a difference now - and for the future. It is our strength and a driving force. The team is more important than the individual player. Together, we will continue to be world leaders. My role is to both pave the way for you and also try to understand what's around the corner so we can lead the future. Getting to work with all of you is damn fun and I get support and energy from meeting you all. Now we run for three more years!
