Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute

  1. Maintain high quality in operations.
  2. Stay relevant and innovative (for both science and society).
  3. Attract good researchers, students, collaborators and funding.
  4. Competence supply where continuity and renewal are balanced (many retirements).

I bring experience and knowledge of the faculty's inner life and activities, especially research, as well as perspectives from my assignments in scientific advisory boards at other universities and in research councils.

Personal reflections

Good conditions for staff, research-promoting environments and academic freedom are cornerstones for developing the faculty in a positive direction in relation to our surrounding world.

To take well-grounded and elaborate decisions, a Faculty Board with an open and permissive atmosphere can benefit from the different perspectives and experiences among the members.
