Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute:

I am a researcher specialized in essential and applied research regarding horticultural production systems with emphasis on microbial horticulture. I received my PhD education in Horticulture at SLU- Alnarp in 2002, on assessment of microbial communities in hydroponic production systems. My associate Professor tlecure in Horticulture in 2011targeted the biological control of root diseases in hydroponic cultivation. My current research focuses on sustainable circular food production systems. This includes resource management, environmental protection and protection of natural ecosystem and resources.

I am deeply involved in research and education, leading both courses and research projects. Since April 2022, I function as a leader of the horticultural group regarding education and program board at LTV faculty. A large network of contacts within the horticultural sector is also developed through my research.

Horticulture is one of the strategic areas within LTV faculty. Based on my research and leadership competence, my role member in the faculty board will strengthen the horticultural presentation and expertise in this field within the board. It will also contribute to a significant and positive development in line with the aspirations of the strategical planes, within the faculty. I highly value good communication as well as collaboration and I believe these being prominent characteristics of mine. I also believe that these characteristics will come well in hand as alternate in the faculty board and as such, I will serve as a team player with good communication and collaboration skills.

Personal reflections:

When I think about my role within the faculty board, I realize how important it is to have a clear vision and to be able to communicate it effectively to the team. I have always believed in the importance of collaboration and openness to create a positive and productive work environment. My time on the board has been an educational journey. I look forward to continuing to develop and to creating an inspiring and successful faculty together.
