Important future issues for the faculty and how I can contribute:

There are important future issues as for example recruitment of employees and students, and sustained funding for research, teaching and collaboration. But there are also ongoing processes that are important to follow through for the faculty. The current subject area revision is one, and I would like to continue to support this process to achieve a coherent and transparent model. Another important ongoing process is the revision of the campus development plan which deals with our future working environment. Here I am participating in the project group sharing my academic and professional knowledge to achieve a future-proof campus.

Personal reflections:

As a member of the faculty committee, I think it is important to strive to create good conditions for colleagues and students to work. This sometimes means that difficult decisions have to be made, which requires both a critical and listening conversation, something that I try to contribute to in the faculty committee. Something that is also important to me is that the faculty committee does not only act top-down, but also speaks for the faculty "upwards" and "outwards".
