Hardware failure caused IT interruption

SLU experienced a very extensive disruption in the IT infrastructure that started on Tuesday. Virtually all IT systems and services were affected.
Just before 1:00 PM, we determined that the disruption was caused by a hardware failure. There were no signs of external influence.
Work to restore a stable and functioning IT environment began. It turned out to be a significant challenge and several alternative solutions were evaluated. Thanks to our highly competent staff, a good and stable solution was found and implemented on Wednesday morning. Since then, systems and services are back in operation.
