Recruitments
The Faculty Board approved the recruitment advertisement for the position of a university lecturer in mathematics, to be based at the Department of Energy and Technology. This is a part of our efforts to strengthen teaching expertise in mathematics, which is essential for the future education of engineering students.
The Board also decided to initiate the recruitment process for a professor in the field of crop cultivation systems at the Department of Crop Production Ecology, in anticipation of the retirement of the current professor in the same field.
Roadmap for the Research Area of Food Science
The Faculty Board resolved to establish a roadmap for the research area of food science. Currently, the Department of Molecular Sciences has four subject fields within the domain of food science. The roadmap envisions the long-term presence of two subject fields within the realm of food science: food chemistry and food biotechnology.
Phasing Out of a Subject Field
In accordance with the adopted roadmap for the food science domain, the Faculty Board decided that, effective from January 1, 2025, the subject field of food science focused on methods for studying the structures and properties of food will be phased out.
