The Faculty board decided to propose to the Vice-Chancellor the appointment of Sara Mangsbo as a guest professor in cancer immunology. The funding for this appointment is within the framework of the Birgitta Carlsson Foundation. The employment is at 20 per cent. The decision is effective from the 1st of November 2023 and continues for an initial period of two years.
The faculty's economists Inger Alderborn and Jimmy Karlsson presented the mid-year financial report for 2023. The result as of June amounted to 14.9 million SEK, which is better than the budget, but it is expected to be lower in the year-end financial report. The staff volume is below budget and is at mid-year 435 employed.

Johanna Penell and Anders Bjurstam informed about the expansion of the number of students in the veterinary and veterinary nursing programs. More about the project here (in Swedish).
Dean Rauni Niskanen informed about the status of VH's new organization, which will be implemented on the 1st of January 2024. Read more about the project here.
Vice Dean Johan Dicksved informed the board about VH's infrastructure. Production Manager Mats Pehrsson also provided information about the farm operations.
The Faculty board visited the Röbäcksdalen cow stable and received a comprehensive overview from Operations Manager Reija Danielsson. During the visit, the board observed the milking pit’s functions and could also see the stable from the viewing platform.
