The International Year of Millets 2023 opened

UN dedicates 2023 to greater efforts in producing millets given their nutritional properties and resilience in adapting to climate change. The International Year of Millets 2023 was opened on 6 December by FAO.
The Opening Ceremony of the International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023 hosted by FAO aimed to raise awareness and create momentum for the IYM 2023 by engaging FAO Members and other relevant stakeholders and highlighting the benefits of promoting the sustainable cultivation and consumption of millets.
