The 24 October Weronica Axelsson Linkowski will hold a higher seminar in agrarian history: "Strategies to handle loss and disturbances of winter pastures. The role of traditional ecological knowledge over generations in Sami reindeer husbandry".
A year ago Weronika Axelsson Linkowski defended her thesis Managing mountains, past and present conditions for traditional summer farming and Sami reindeer husbandry in northern Scandinavia. In the research she studied the conditions for traditional land use in northern Sweden, where summer farmers and Sami reindeer herders are increasingly affected by bureaucracy, exploitation and increasing predator populations.
The higher seminar in agrarian history are given by Agrarian history at department of Urban and Rural Development.
