Only a few weeks remain before SLU publishes its new-look websites. All web publishers are working hard to finish as much of the necessary adjustments as possible before the launch.

The new web will bring with it a number of improvements and new features. In the coming weeks, you will be able to read about some of the changes on the staff web. The first new feature to be presented is the new, responsive design.

SLU has 560,000 web visitors per month. Of these, about 135,000 use tablets or mobile phones to access our sites. The responsive design means that the appearance of the content will change and adapt depending on what screen size the visitor is using. This means that e.g. the number of columns and images are automatically adjusted, and images are scaled to suit the width of the screen.

Smartphones and tablets have become such an important part of the digital infrastructure that in order for a website to be modern and user-friendly, it has to be responsive.
