Call for abstracts - Development Research Conference 2016

The ’Development Research Conference 2016’ with the theme global visions and local practices takes place in Stockholm 22-24 August. The AgriFoSe 2030 programme arrange the session ’Food security and improved nutrition for the poor – a multi-disciplinary research task’, and the abstract submission is now open.

A multidisciplinary forum for networking

The aim with this conference is to provide a multi-disciplinary forum for networking and intellectual exchange among scholars who conduct research in and of relevance to low-income countries and/or engage in capacity-building collaborations. The conference also intends to offer a platform for dialogue and to strengthen the relation between development research and policy makers.

Submit an abstract to the session on food security and improved nutrition

The AgriFoSe programme is responsible for panel 29, ’Food security and improved nutrition for the poor – a multi-disciplinary research task’ and encourage researchers within this area to submit abstracts. The deadline for abstract submission is 21 March. See objectives and format for Panel 29 here.

The objective of this panel is to illuminate the UN Sustainability Development Goal (SDG) number 2: “End hunger, achieved food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture” from different scientific angels and enlighten colleagues from different disciplines and stimulate to cross-disciplinary cooperation.

The conference is arranged by Stockholm University, Sida and VR (the Swedish Research Council).
