It takes around two hours to complete and consists of eight chapters. Each chapter includes a mixture of film clips, texts and exercises. The course is available in both English and Swedish.

By the end of the course, participants will have:

  • gained an understanding the basic values of central government authorities;
  • developed knowledge of the rules and responsibilities;
  • be able to place good administrative culture into practice.

Contents

The course addresses the topics common to everyone working for the government. Its content is based on the basic values of central government authorities.

The online course is divided into eight chapters. It begins with a chapter on the basic principles and regulations that apply for all of us public authority employees, our common ground in the government. The six subsequent chapters address each of the principles that create the basic values of central government authorities – democracy, objectivity, legality, respect, freedom of opinion, efficiency and service. The course concludes with a chapter that suggests ways of working with and reflecting upon these values during our everyday work.
