Juan Cordero-Solorzano

PhD student at the department of Animal Breeding and Genetics

Presentation

I’m a PhD student within the EGS-ABG program with SLU as a main institution and Wageningen University as second institution. My project aims to associate genetic variants to antibody levels in colostrum in dairy cattle and its effects on health by combining serological diagnostics with genetic analyses. In a later stage of the project we will evaluate the potential of genomic selection for antibody levels in colostrum and antibody absorption from the calf.
