Access to open environmental monitoring and assessment data is regulated by law, a prerequisite for management and decision-making, and useful for research. To facilitate this work, there are various portals and catalogues that collect and display available data, but it can be a challenge to navigate this landscape and choose the right path.
In this webinar, Miljödatastöd provides an overview of the platforms that can be used to make environmental monitoring and assessment data accessible. We review the roles of these portals and catalogues and clarify their possibilities and limitations.
The purpose is to provide guidance and practical advice to simplify the process of making environmental monitoring and assessment data openly available.
The webinar is open to everyone at SLU. If you would like to participate, please contact miljodatastod@slu.se and we will send you an invitation in Outlook.
The webinar will be recorded.
Please note that the webinar will be held in Swedish.
The Unit for Data Management Guidance and Development (Miljödatastöd in Swedish) provides data management advice for SLU’s environmental monitoring and assessment (EMA). We assist individual EMA analysts, project groups and larger programmes with data availability, storage, metadata, and much more. We are part of the joint support function for data management in research and EMA at SLU.
