The Nature Restoration Law for beginners

Jean-Michel Roberge and Elisabet Andersson at the Swedish Forest Agency, will share their insights into how the EU Nature Restoration Law may affect forests and forestry in Sweden.

This new EU regulation sets binding targets to restore degraded ecosystems. Jean-Michel and Elisabet, both former employees of SLU, will present key concepts underpinning the law, explain the different requirements set by the law and discuss their possible consequences with focus on forests. They will also describe ongoing work at governmental agencies with the preparation of a national restoration plan.

All staff and students are welcome.
The seminar will be held in English.
