Inauguration of SLU Honey Bee Research Centre

SLU has a new centre for honey bee research. On 2 May, at 16:00, Vice Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel will inaugurate it and you are also welcome to attend. There will be a short presentation, sparkling apple cider and pastries with honey.

This is an opportunity to learn more about honey bees and why SLU has established a centre. You will also visit our hives, which are essential for research.

The programme

  • Barbara Locke Grandér, Director of the SLU Honey Bee Research Centre gives a short presentation in Tammsalen, Ecology Centre.
  • Inauguration by SLU Vice Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel, at the hives close to Ecology Centre.
  • Mingle over sparkling apple cider (äppelmust) and honey-inspired pastries.
