There is over 330 million hectares of PEFC-certified forests in the world. The certification ensures that the forests are managed according to environmental, social and economic criteria.
In this seminar we have invited Christina Lundgren, National Secretary, for the Swedish PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). We will get to know more about how PEFC-certified forests should be managed, current chalenges and how research conducted at SLU can help in tackling these challenges. Christina is a PhD alumni from the faculty of Forest Sciences. Her thesis was on Wood and fibre properties of fertilized Norway spruce.
