Open lecture with David Thurfjell on thinking about landscapes

Welcome to a lecture and conversation with David Thurfjell on the subject Mindscape change framing landscape change.

The course Advanced Landscape Theory in Architectural and Planning Practice invites to an open lecture: Mindscape change framing landscape change.

Our current mindset and attitude challenge the survival of life on this planet. How we think about landscape is crucial for how we act – our mindscapes frame our actions in the landscape.

David Thurfjell, historian of religion and professor in the study of religions at Södertörn University, will share his perspectives on how relations to nature and landscape change with time, and shed light on the ethical and political implications of nature ́s rights, ecological spirituality, and moments of enchantment in nature-oriented experiences.
