Activities scheduled for 2026

Quality assurance in research and environmental monitoring and assessment

During 2023, departments, faculties and the Vice-Chancellor carried out baseline analyses based on the quality areas and standards. These baseline analyses also included the formulation of a number of measures.

In 2024, 2025 and 2026, the quality reports written in 2023 will be supplemented with follow-up on the measures taken in response to the proposals, as well as any new circumstances or external factors affecting the quality assurance work.

The quality reports written in 2026 will serve as documentation for the panels in KoN 2027. They therefore need to be available in English no later than 31 August 2026. Each department may choose whether to write the report in Swedish or English ahead of the quality dialogue with the faculty during spring 2026.

Step 1:
The departments update the existing quality reports from 2025. These are sent to kvalitetssakring-forskning@slu.se for sharing with the faculty offices, in accordance with the schedule distributed to Heads of Department.

Step 2:
The updated departmental quality reports serve as the basis for quality dialogues between departmental and faculty leadership.

Step 3:
The faculties update the existing quality reports from 2025. These are sent to kvalitetssakring-forskning@slu.se for sharing with the Division of Planning and Research Support.

Step 4:
The updated faculty quality reports serve as the basis for quality dialogues between faculty leadership and the Vice-Chancellor. A quality dialogue is also held between the Vice-Chancellor and the Chief operation officer regarding development measures within the administrative support.

Step 5:
The Vice-Chancellor compiles an updated, university-wide quality report and presents it to the University Board.
