New episode of SLU EDUtalks: What is Studium Generale

Published: 01 June 2026

In this episode, you can listen to Educational Developer Alexandra D’Urso speak with our new SLU colleague, Pernilla Glaser, who is responsible for the development of Studium Generale at SLU.

In 2025, SLU inaugurated Sweden’s first Studium Generale, which serves as a historically grounded meeting and discussion space for all in the university community. But what is Studium Generale, and why is it so important for SLU to have this community forum?

The conversation approaches topics related to interdisciplinary dialogue, meeting across boundaries and perspectives, and why we humans need each other in higher education and beyond.
