New webinar series: Urban Waterscapes

Two lunch webinar opportunities will be available in June - one about Waterscapes in the biosphere and another about Urban fishing. Welcome to sign-up and participate!

The Urban Waterscapes webinar series is an initiative from SLU Urban Futures with the aim to make "water as a driver of, and for urban change" visible and strengthening Waterscapes as a theme within SLU.

June 3 at 12.15-13.00
Waterscapes in the biosphere: challenges, opportunities and emerging research themes
(will be held in Swedish)
Elias Regelin, Johan Hedin, Magnus Pamp from 'Biosfärområde Älvlandskapet Nedre Dalälven' will talk about the biosphere reserve and discuss different perspectives on themes of societal relevance pertaining to the Nedre Dalälven Waterscapes.

June 11 at 12.15-13.00
Combining fishers’ knowledge and monitoring data to understand the status of the blue urban commons in Stockholm City
Matilda Andersson and Jens Olsson, SLU will talk about a recent study that shows that recreational fishing in European cities is common and that fishers motivation can be purely recreational or for food provisioning.

This series builds on existing expertise at SLU and starts within the Uppsala region to create opportunities for collaboration.
