Are you seeking new partners for collaboration at SLU with complementary expertise? Are you curious about other individuals at SLU who are engaged in the realm of plant protection and forest damage? Now you have the opportunity to network on the 9th and 10th of October in Alnarp! SLU will cover travel expenses and hotel accommodations for staff travelling from other locations.

The networking event is organised as a lunch-lunch symposium by the SLU Plant Protection Network and the SLU Forest Damage Centre.

– We aspire to establish connections among researchers from SLU’s different localities. Enhanced awareness of who is working in the different fields within plant protection and forest damage and what the research includes may give rise to fresh collaborations at SLU, says Katja Fedrowitz, who is the coordinator for both the SLU Plant Protection Network and the SLU Forest Damage Centre.

On the 9th of October, the gathering will be hosted at Campus Alnarp, encompassing activities such as mingling around a poster exhibition, campus excursions, and a shared dinner. The meeting will then transition to Malmö and the Clarion Hotel & Congress on October 10th (where overnight accommodations have been arranged for staff from other localities). Until lunch, there will be group discussions and networking activities.

– I think the meeting will provide a good platform for further collaboration and when the need arises is will be easy to find and incorporate another researcher into your project, says Anneli Lundkvist, Chair of the SLU Plant Protection Network.
