Malin Tiefensee

My reasearch lies within the microbiology of the biogas process. I aim to study the step where different bacteria and archea cooperate in order to utilize different substrates. This cooperative relationship is called syntrophy, and the overall project aim is to pinpoint syntrophic requirements in order to optimize the biomethane production.

This project is funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation within the study field Industrial biotechnology and Environmental biotechnology.
