Keni Ren
Postdoc in Precision livestock farming: focus on sensors and data analysis.

Presentation

I am interested in developing technologies that increase the automation of animal behaviour monitoring and welfare management. My research was conducted in collaboration with animal scientists, animal caretakers, and other engineers.

Teaching

I have ten years of teaching experience in the interaction design field: Applications of sensor networks, Web technology for engineers and Design and service for the Internet of Things.

Research

My research interests focus on the computer vision and sensor-fusion systems for studying animal behaviour in zoo and livestock production environments:

  • Real-time locating systems to study dairy cattle's indoor movement and social interactions.
  • Computer vision and sensor-fusion-system for identifying and tracking individual animals;
  • Computer vision and sensor-fusion-system method for analysing animal basic and social behaviour;
  • Big Data analysis, Data visualisation, Machine learning;
  • IoT applications for Precision Livestock Farming;
  • Human-machine interface analysis techniques.
