Research

My research focuses on understanding root traits, their interactions with soil microorganisms and their responses to global change in boreal forests and sub-arctic ecosystems. I am particularly interested in understanding how strategies of plants related to their functional traits influence with uptake of nutrients and soil carbon cycling.
