André Rosado

Presentation
André contributes to capacity-building projects that enable an understanding and application of relevant policies and legal frameworks related to biodiversity, biotechnology and genetic resources. Notably, André works with the coordination and teaching of a PhD course on global policies and legal frameworks for research and development involving plant genetic resources.
Before joining SLU, André spent nearly 7 years with the United Nations System supporting capacity-building programmes for biodiversity and biotechnology across the Global South, particularly in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. He assisted governments in these regions to comply with provisions under the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
