Alex Appiah Mensah

I am currently a Ph.D student at the Department of Forest Resource Management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. My research focus is on forest growth and yield modelling, inventory and sampling and remote sensing for forest variable estimation. I am a dynamic young scientist with strong passion for investigating the role of climate change and forest growth.

Research

My current research project is about: Boreal forest growth and yield estimation under changing climatic conditions in Sweden using data from National Forest Inventory, long-term experimental sites and remote sensing.

Additionally, an advanced decision support system (Heureka) will be used for making growth projections and assess long-term effects of using growth for substitution and nature conservation.
