From the beginning of February and for one month, the mobile art exhibition "On Life and Death" will be on display in Ulls hus. The exhibition is about the cemetery as a green, spiritual, multicultural and public living room in the city. Welcome to the opening and a panel discussion on 7 February!
In a panel discussion, Titti Olsson, editor-in-chief of SLU Movium's magazine STAD, talks with Carola Wingren and Helena Nordh, both professors in landscape architecture at Department of Urban and Rural Development, SLU. The panel discussion centres on the cemetery as a meeting place between life and death, between different cultures and between past and present.
The exhibition, on display in Ulls hus from 7 February until 7 march 2024, is created within the research project ”Cemeteries and Crematoria as Public Spaces of Belonging in Europe: A study of migrant and minority cultural inclusion, exclusion and integration CEMI”,
in collaboration with exhibition designers Annika Carlsson and Jennie Margareta Andersson.
The mobile exhibition started at Form/Design Center in Malmö, in September 2023, and will move on after 7 March.
No registration required.
