Supervision seminar - Quality and Quality Assurance in Doctoral Education

The last decades, doctoral education has become more structured and organized for instance in doctoral schools and programmes. The diversity in doctoral education has also increased, with “professional” or “corporate” doctorates. Quality and quality assurance of doctoral education has also developed and become integrated in national and institutional quality systems. However, despite becoming “programmified” doctoral education is fundamentally different from other educational levels. Related to quality, we will discuss the preconditions, processes and outcomes of doctoral education.
