CITY NATURE

Division of Landscape Architecture invites you to a seminar with Kristoffer Holm Pedersen, from the internationally renowned architecture practice SLA.

In his talk ‘City Nature’, Kristoffer Holm Pedersen will discuss and show new approaches to the design of our public realm – and how nature-based design solutions can be used to solve some of today’s hardest urban challenges while adding new dimensions of life quality and social cohesion for all. Amongst the themes Kristoffer Holm Pedersen will address are issues such as social segregation, privatization, exclusion, social and environmental gentrification, pollution and climate change. He will also show how SLA is using nature-based design solutions and the strategic appliance of eco-system services to bring the full force of nature’s functional properties and amenity values into play on both strategic level, tactical level and project level. In the Lecture, Kristoffer Holm Pedersen will illustrate this approach with a series of SLA’s projects that are right now being completed in Scandinavia, Europe, and the rest of the world.
