Facts:
In June 2014, the Vice-Chancellor decided to establish a Climate Fund at SLU as part of the university’s efforts to meet its environmental targets for business travel. The fund was introduced on a three-year trial basis and, following an evaluation in 2018, was extended for another three years starting on January 1, 2019. A new evaluation was carried out in the first half of 2024, after which the fund was extended for a further three years.
Employees may apply for funding to support climate-related projects within SLU. Grants from the fund are awarded once a year during the autumn semester.
