SLU is moving to Microsoft 365

Published: 04 December 2025

SLU is now taking the next step in modernising our digital work environment. The Steering Group of the IT Infrastructure Upgrade Programme has decided that email, files and collaboration tools will be migrated to Microsoft 365 during spring 2026. This will provide a safer, more accessible and modern digital platform for the whole university.

Why are we doing this?

Microsoft 365 offers a unified, cloud-based platform that makes collaboration and flexible work easier. The migration means email and documents will move to more secure and accessible cloud services. Read more on the staff web.

Vice-Chancellor on the initiative

– This initiative is an important step in securing a sustainable and future-proof IT environment. With Microsoft 365, we gain better tools for collaboration, higher security, and a platform that supports our continued digital development, says Vice-Chancellor Maria Knutson Wedel

What happens next?
