New student thesis template
The SLU University Library launches a new template for student theses. The template aims to facilitate the students’ process, but will also save time for supervisors and course administrators as well. The new template is adapted to the graphic profile of SLU and does not require any installations.
A new Word template for independent projects at SLU has now been launched. The starting point has been to create an easy to use tool to help both students, supervisors and course administrators. The new template does not require any computer installations, and only regulates the visual look of the text (not structure or content).
To make it easier to work in the template, a Canvas module with information and instructions has been developed. This module can be incorporated into courses but is also available via the SLU University library’s website.
Compared to the previous template the new one has been updated to better fit with the university’s new graphic profile. The margins and font size have also been changed, something that might be important for you as a teacher to take into consideration in your assignment. A recommendation is to provide instructions on word count instead of page count.
The previous template will be available on the library’s website until the start of the autumn semester, at which point it will be removed.
