Avoid repeat testing

Testing resources in the Uppsala region are stretched. The region’s infectious diseases physician is encouraging employers not to demand repeated testing of staff who have previously tested positive for Covid-19.
Employers in Uppsala County are encouraged not to recommend or demand that employees take a second PCR test after recovering from Covid-19. This serves no medical purpose and drains testing resources unnecessarily. The resources for PCR testing in the Uppsala region are stretched. In a letter to employers, Region Uppsala asks everyone to help ensure that those who are ill can get an appointment for testing as soon as possible.
