News from Head of Department, week 40

Published: 05 October 2020

Wonderful October!

The calendar says October and the budget work has started up in the department. The highlight of the week was to meet (digitally, but still) our ’ämnesansvariga’ and discuss current topics at the department. One of the points concerned the annual salary revision. The revision talks shall be done by the end of November. Please note that these talks will not contain any figures this year, but will be a discussion about performance and development. The salary space will not be determined until later in the autumn, so the new salary will be presented at a later point in time. In addition, we talked about how the "tax on capital" (that we at KV unfortunately have to pay again this year) should be distributed. It's not an appealing topic, but we had a constructive discussion. Furthermore, the ’tillsammans-projektet’ was discussed and director of studies, Lina, presented the status of the changing of medical records system project.

This week, a ’samverkansmöte’ for work environment issues at the department, where we talked about incident reporting, safety issues and the annual Law Compliance Control. The law compliance control began today, Friday, and involves a review of our compliance with current environmental and work environment legislation. On Friday, I also participated in a meeting between the Rector and the Heads of Department with the aim of capturing how teaching at the university started up under the current Covid situation.

Next week is the Prefect's Council, where we will discuss the Prefect's role. Further, meetings with the clinical management group, KV's management group and the management group for the ‘tillsamman-project’ are also on the agenda. Meeting minutes from our most recent meeting with KV's management team (Sept. 25) can now be found on the internal website.

During the autumn, we have planned digital KV-info on October 21 and December 8. Calls are coming.

During week 41, I will be on site every day.

Best regards,

Nils
