In light of the fact that Restaurang Logen has opened on campus Ultuna, the Purchasing and Procurement Unit has received questions regarding catering and restaurant services in Uppsala.
SLU has an agreement with Eurest, which runs Ulls restaurang, that concerns restaurant and catering services. The agreement involves catering services for SLU Uppsala (Ultuna) and the surrounding environment (currently Lövsta and Kungsängen). Eurest is also responsible for lunch, dinner and celebration arrangements at the Uppsala campus. SLU is bound to this agreement and cannot purchase these services from Restaurang Logen.
In addition to catering, and if SLU is to pay the costs, business lunches, docent dinners, etc. must be ordered from the Eurest assortment in Proceedo.
If a private individual personally pays for their lunch, they are of course free to pick any restaurant they want. The abovementioned agreement only applies when SLU pays the costs.
