Facts:
RUFORUM is a consortium of 60 universities in 25 African countries established in 2004. The mission is to strengthen capacities of universities to foster innovations responsive to demands of smallholder farmers through the training of high quality researchers, the output of impact-oriented research and the maintenance of collaborative working relations among researchers, farmers, national agricultural research institutions and governments.
SLU and RUFORUM have been allied in improving higher education in Africa within tertiary agriculture education since 2011. SLU och Ruforum har ett MoU (memorandum of understanding) since 2016.
