Apply for money for equal opportunity activities at the NJ-faculty

Objective

Equal opportunities should be an integrated part of all activities at SLU.

Why?

SLU shall work with equal opportunities and integrate equal opportunities in all operations in order to promote gender equality and diversity and counteract discrimination.

According to the discrimination act, SLU is required to counteract discrimination and harassment. Students and employees at SLU should have the opportunity and ability to develop in their studies and in their work with good working conditions.

How?

You can apply for money

  • to arrange equal opportunity events (e.g. invite interesting lecturers to an open seminar or a course)
  • to a activity aimed to implement and develop equal opportunities at a department, union or a course

Money can be applied from the fund continuously throughout the year. For a single arrangement, no more than 30.000 SEK will be granted. Employees, students and work units within SLU can apply for funds. Individual students are encouraged to apply together with appropriate student organization, such as student unions or union sections.

Content of application

  • A description (max 4000 characters) of how equal opportunities should be integrated in the course/subject/department/culture, and what you want to achieve
  • Time frame and budget
  • Responsible contact person
  • Description of which discrimination grounds that will be refered to

Assessment of submitted applications

  • The committee for equal opportunities at the NJ-faculty proposes priorities for the use of funds and is responsible for its overall management. The committee will make decisions on the allocation of funds.
  • The assessment of applications is based on how well the application relates to the goals of the Swedish discrimination act.
