Hanna Sassner

I am an applied ethologist with a PhD in Laboratory Animal Science (SLU, 2004) and have published mainly within applied ethology, animal husbandry and animal welfare.

I have previously worked at the Swedish National Equestrian Centre Flyinge AB where I was Head of research and a teacher at the SLU Equine Science program, and several vocational training programs (YH). I have also been program manager and Centre coordinator for the Farrier education programmes. Other non academic positions include Animal welfare officer at the Swedish Board of Agriculture and Animal welfare inspector at the County Administrative Board.

I currently teach at the Equine Science program and serve as a supervisor and examiner for both bachelor and master thesis work
